Im sure you have heard how pricey it can be for pay per click keywords for lawyers, but my God!! $948 per click a lawyer in houston is paying for Houston Maritime Lawyers.  You could get a killer micro site with like 100 original pieces of 2000 word content, along with every other bell and whistle for like 4 clicks of that keyword!! I wonder what a better value is?    Yet this whole list doesnt have a keyword under $500….. Holy smokes thats pricey because your budget would have to be huge, like 50,000 and it could go in a weekend!     I dont subscribe to the you should bid a max amount for keywords to be #1, I think its wiser to find cheaper keywords, like a petty $77 auto accident keyword!

Pay per click marketing is pricey AF but if you want to play, you must pay.    It seems either lawyers have zero interest in pay per click or are all in.   I think you need to do a little bit of everything and pay per click for sure should be done, at least create campaigns that you can turn on and off and test things out.  There are a lot of things to know though with Google adwords and its really really easy to waste big amounts of money if your not careful.  Ive seen lawyers waste 10,000 on the wrong clicks, they were bidding on national keywords when they were a smaller Indiana firm and only handled local cases.  Then there are those who only bid on BROAD match and dont realize they are bidding on 100’s of keywords that make zero sense, but because you choose broad instead of Phrase match or Exact Match, you wasted a ton of money.
